Capacity
The event Promoter/Manager shall not authorize the sale or distribution of passes, tickets, or registration badges in excess of the capacity of the 183 Room or public areas of Legends Special Event Center, nor admit a large number of persons than can safely or freely move therein. The responsible Legends account manager, fire marshal or designee shall have the right to determine capacity in all areas of the Legends Special Event Center. Promoter/Manager agrees to utilize the services of and honor any Agreements that the Legends account manager may have entered into on behalf of the Promoter/Manager with any private contractors.

Payments & Fees
Schedule of Payments & Deposits
Full payment of the rental deposit is due upon receipt of the signed Special Event Order (SEO) Agreement. The initial deposit is non-refundable. The remaining SEO balance is due eight business days prior to event date. Legends reserves the right to cancel all arrangements if payments are not made as listed.
Additional event charges are due at the end of your event. The additional event balance, if any, is due the day of your event. If you choose to pay by credit card, a non-refundable 5% service charge will be added to all payments.
Payments
Money orders or checks are accepted up-to eight days prior event and should be made payable to 183 Abernathy Business LLC. Cash and/or Money Order is accepted after this period. If Client chooses to pay for event with Master Card, Visa or American Express, Client agrees to pay a 5% credit card fee surcharge on the entire transaction amount. In the event that either party breaches the SEO Agreement, or any other provision as agreed, the breaching party agrees to be liable to for damages, penalties, interest, reasonable attorneys’ fees and other collection costs resulting from such breach.
Security Deposit
A reservation deposit is required for all events, including, television, film and music video shoots. Assuming no damages has been done, a percentage of the deposit is fully refundable.
Refunds
Refunds will be made only as specifically stated in the SEO/BEO agreement.
Overtime Rental Fee
If access to the venue should exceed the allotted hours of rental, the following overtime fees apply: $250 per half hour increment.
Wedding Ceremony Fee & Room Conversions
A $500 wedding ceremony fee allows for one additional hour of event rental, with the event itself not lasting more than 4 hours. If using the wedding ceremony area as the reception area there is an additional $250 room conversion fee.
Lighting, Sound & Audio Visual
Production Services
We have contracted with Atlanta Audio Visual (770-841-3654) to supply a sound/lighting system available in the 183 Room for a production tap-in fee – If additional equipment is required the event Promoter/Manager is responsible for ordering/rental – Promoter/Manager’s are solely responsible for the production and management of scheduled event/performance under house requirements. You are allowed to bring in your own production - ask for details.
Lighting Equipment
If additional lighting equipment is needed for live performances or presentations, all equipment can be rented through Atlanta Audio Visual or from our Verified Vendor list.
Sound Equipment
Additional sound equipment such as stage monitors, microphones, a mixing board, etc. are usually needed for live performances. All additional equipment can be rented through Atlanta Audio Visual or from our Verified Vendor list.
A sound technician to assist entertainers and bands with, set-up, sound checks, microphones, etc. can be provided for a 4-hour event with 4 additional hours of set-up/breakdown time at a minimal fee.
Event Security
We provide professional, licensed and fully trained in house security for each event. Security is required to be on duty 30 minutes prior to event start time. Additional security guards, other than the number allotted with the SEO agreement, are available at a rate of $100 for a four hour event and $25 per hour for each additional hour. Uniformed Atlanta Police Officers at a rate of $35 per hour, with a four hour minimum.
Security Requirements For Specific Area Rentals at Legends:
Parking lot security – 1 uniformed Atlanta Police officer
183 Room – 4 inside security guards – 1 uniformed Atlanta Police officer at entrance
Legends Ballroom – 3 inside security guards – 1 uniformed Atlanta Police officer officer at entrance
Ballroom Balcony & City / Stadium View Veranda – 3 security guards
Fire Marshal
A Fire Marshal is required to oversee all events that contain pyrotechnics such as fire performers. A Fire Marshal can be provided for $50 per hour, with a four hour minimum.
Bar Policies
183 Room & Legends Event Center regulate the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages as stated by Georgia law. Therefore, we do not allow liquor, beer, wine or any nonalcoholic beverages to be brought in from an outside source.
All bars are subject to 11% state liquor tax and 20% gratuity for bottle service in the VIP booths and Green room. On-Consumption and cash bar scenarios require 2 Bartenders for each serving station – If your event requires additional Bartenders and Cocktail Servers, they are $150 each for a four hour event and then $30 per hour after that. Outside bartenders/cocktail servers are NOT allowed.
183 Room & Legends Event Center require Promoters/Managers to meet a minimum beverage guarantee to maintain longstanding and/or block-out weekly bookings. This guarantee to be determined by your 183 Room account representative and Executive Director. The beverage guarantee is calculated against beverage sales less sales tax and gratuity. The 183 Room and Legends Event Center will NOT participate in bar split programs or beverage commission splits.
Load-In, Load-Out& Deliveries
We must be informed of all Verified Vendor deliveries and delivery times in advance to ensure that someone from your party or staff are here to properly receive/sign for all items. All Verified Vendor or rental orders that you have scheduled to deliver must be accepted by you or a member of your organization during the contracted event times.The staff of Legends cannot sign for deliveries on your behalf.
Loading Policies
Out of consideration for Verified Vendors making deliveries, please remove your vehicle immediately after unload. No vehicle is to be left unattended and all vehicles are subject to posted parking fees. Loading access changes frequently, so please be flexible.
Next Day Pick-Up
No personal items, décor, rentals, equipment, etc. can be left at our venue overnight without advance approval from Legends management. Legends management IS NOT LIABLE for anything left behind. Someone from your organization is responsible for arranging and overseeing the pickup of everything the next day.
In-House Services
Coat/Bag Check
Between the months of December and April and all Friday or Saturday events ending at 10pm or later require a coat/bag check attendant - One can be provided for $150 for a four hour event. We recommend one attendant per every 200 guests.
Cleaning
Standard cleaning service is included with your rental fee. Should your event require cleaning over and above the provided standard service, an additional fee will be charged.
DÉCOR
The use of wax or open flamed candles without a candle holder is not permitted. All pillar or taper candles must be contained within a globe or hurricane holder of some sort. Otherwise, only votive candles with votive holders or tea light candles with tea light holders are permitted. All candles and holders must be approved by your Legends account manager before use.
Nails, tacks, duct tape and double-sided tape are NOT allowed for hanging decorations. No confetti or glitter of any kind is permitted. Balloons must be tied to sand bags or weights and not to any of the furniture, walls, etc. of the venue.
NOTHING may be hung from the Pillars in the Legends Ballroom. Posters must be kept to a minimum. “Plastering” a wall with numerous posters is not permitted. Flyers are only allowed in displayed table top format. Stacks of flyers on every bar and table are not permitted.
